glasspants n. 1. Tight fitting jeans. 2. A series of experiments by Adid and Addisson that went horribly and famously awry, resulting in arrests, embarrassment, bleeding, disfigurement, and stiff knees. 3. prop. n. Glasspants was an elusivily outspoken and reputedly fictional member of the poorly conceived (and arguably hoaxed) Minneapolis-based Bought Art Movement (BAM). Glasspants is likely an invented personage, named either in reference to the failed Adid/Addison glasspants experiments, or homonymously christened in the vein of other associated BAM figures, including demonstrably genuine men (e.g., Whittier Globe editor Nick Hook, AA bicyclist Dave (“Randy”) Payne, and curator Ben Heywood), as well as the patently absurd and almost childishly named Pierce Woodham and Will Budge.
