An ardent believer in A.W.Slipper's theory of the World Donut, Messerschmidt edited a popular weekly elicting soften strutted about town naked, otherwise clad in a single donut which he wore inserted over his erect penis. He was also known to drink from puddles, fight with horses and spent his nights sleeping in the woods surrounding Amberlain, Massachusetts.
