--[[User:Adkins|Adkins]] May 25 17:35 my time: So on my home computer, there's no problem with the formatting. Looks good....A graphic rich front page will do wonders for the site, I think, piquing interest, a beckoning had to come on in etc. But I don't know why on a few (2 anyway) of the work comps things aren't as intended. By "screwy" I mean that the disclaimer is justified to the left in a column. The categories are thus found at the bottom of the screen, with a scroll down necessary to see them in their entirety. This leaves a big empty white space above them. So...most people should see something good, but others might see something ungood. ? It's not a rez problem per se but the text is in a column and not spread out horizontally. If it helps, at home where it works I'm a Firefox user and on the screwy comps it's Explorer. --[[User:Adkins|Adkins]] May 25 17:35 my time: So on my home computer, there's no problem with the formatting. yeah, I like this, but on a comp at work the formatting came out screwy....the "disclaimer" was vertical and left a big white space abouve the categories....otherwise it sharpens things up a bit.

(d) -- i like it, too - it's more focused than the current main page, & i like the idea of a more graphic intensive opening page (photos & what-not). one thing - it's a bit wide, at least for my monitor/settings. if it were scaled back to 4 columns it might strike a better first impression. or - is there any way to create an interactive screen that could only display portions of this at a time? at any rate, i'm agreed: it's much more effective at drawing the viewer in.

--Undule 23:54, 24 May 2005 (EDT) Cripes. What resolution do you guys have your monitors? 800x600? I was thinking of saying too bad to those folks, because honestly I thought noone used that rez anymore. I am interested in the "formatting came out screwy" -- is this in addition to the 800x600 rez? what browser? Does the page resize for you, if you drag the browser edges?

There is very little we can do here on the front page, given the restraints of wiki. It doesn't work like html and isn't meant to look snappy, so hey. I want to get something cooking up tho. Will keep slugging away I guess.
