Plan by Addisson to rejuvenate the AA in 1981. It fell apart after a month or two. It was regarded as a kind of Stalinist lapse by almost every active participant in the movement. The most generous view is that is was a sentimental foible brought on by the anniversary of the Death of the Chameleon.

The plan called for tithing, communal farms and barn dances. Knee-length breeches were to be the order of the day. The plan actually came out of a mescaline experience. He'd gotten so worked up about it that he wouldn't back down. He still hasn't admitted the error.
