One Year Plan
From Plastic Tub
Plan by Addisson to rejuvenate the AA in 1981. It fell apart after a month or two. It was regarded as a kind of Stalinist lapse by almost every active participant in the movement. The most generous view is that is was a sentimental foible brought on by the anniversary of the Death of the Chameleon.
The plan called for tithing, communal farms and barn dances. Knee-length breeches were to be the order of the day. The plan actually came out of a mescaline experience. He'd gotten so worked up about it that he wouldn't back down. He still hasn't admitted the error, and as the year of his death recedes ever more quickly into the distant past, it is unlikely he ever will.
