--Adkins 02:33, 21 Jun 2005 (EDT) Nah, I just liked the sound of it (made it up); 'twas s'posed to invoked fluttering flight--should probably be "kiting"  ? ....but then again, perhaps it refers to the cow that jumped over the moon? And too bad "kine" hasn't stuck with us, eh? The word is mentioned in a book I just finished, Bragg's "The Adventure of English" which is a decent layman's history of the language....
